Horse Play

Throughout history, stories of the connections between horses and humans have been told over and over.  In the 21st Century, we no longer need the physical strength of the horse, but many are starting to recognize the incredible power of the horse in helping us to discover our own potential in a world that is often too critical of human frailty.

HorsePlay  is a great hands-on experience, an opportunity to learn the secrets of communicating with one of the most fascinating of animals, the horse.  Using purebred Dutch Friesian horses, you will be given the opportunity not only to handle these magical horses, but to achieve a level of success that you’d never imagine.

An excellent opportunity for delegates to discover so much about themselves, leadership and communication. Working with horses gives us an opportunity to discover how to have great relationships with the humans in our lives, be they colleagues, partners, family or friends.

HorsePlay is not only for horse-lovers, but for anyone who wants to explore an enriching side of life. We enter into the world of the Friesian horses, which is magical for humans but just plain horse sense for the equine partners in this experience!
Horses mirror people’s energy levels, leadership and communication and above all they are brilliant at judging the authenticity of a leader.
“Participants will soon learn that when working with horses enforcing power is not an option, and that a title means very little,” said Law. “Leadership only comes to the fore through achieving authority, the demonstration of ability and the attainment of confidence.”
Using horses as teachers on everyday life skills, can only enhance the leadership skills in business.
As Ray Hunt wrote: “ You’re not working on the horse, you’re working on yourself”.

Lessons learnt while interacting with the horses:

  • There is no such thing as teaching, only learning
  • It’s not about making things happen, it’s about directing things and supporting the efforts to get better
  • There’s good in every horse/person
  • In relationships, we need clear expectations, boundaries and consequences for exceeding those boundaries.
  • Learn by spending time listening
